  • Gerald Ford was a Cancer born July 14, 1913 at 12:43 a.m. in Omaha, Nebraska (birth data source taken from the Internet Accuracy Project - www.accuracyproject.org. His Moon in Sagittarius made him a strong athlete who was unfortunately caught on camera slipping down stairs, earning him the title of a klutz. He was otherwise well respected and decent man most famous for pardoning Richard Nixon, (a Capricorn). I think he should be most remembered for bringing our troops home from the Viet Nam war. Even though he died when the Moon was in Pisces but very close to the Aries First Quarter Moon, the Full Moon in Cancer nearly a week later holds the qualities of the passing of a head of state. The Full Moon is typically a time of completion and full exposure. Mr. Ford had something to say but asked to wait until his death before releasing his true thoughts about the Bush Administration's invasion of Iraq. His death chart's Pisces Moon was square Mercury, which just passed a conjunction to Pluto at the Galactic Center (26° Sagittarius). This adds up to a sour message for the current administration for the entire world to hear.
His comments at his death have the timely connection to the inevitable hanging of Saddam Hussein, a Taurus who also has a Sagittarius Moon. Although there is no authoritative information of Hussein's birth date or time, there are two birth times that have circulated for Hussein- 8:55 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and the date was celebrated by himself at his 65th birthday party in 2002.
Of the two times the chart that most suits Saddam is 8:55 a.m., giving him a 5° Cancer rising. The January 3, 2007 Cancer Full Moon would then fall in his first house and fall closely to Vesta at 15° Cancer. Vesta represents one's sacred space, their hearth and home. The end of his life is also set for hanging. A noose around the neck is fitting for a Taurus. A firing squad was his choice for execution. But an interesting bright star is found at 26° Taurus, Algol.
When Saddam was born, Algol was at 25° Taurus. Algol is a star considered mythologically to be the most evil star in the sky and the star represents the severed head of Medusa in Greek mythology. There is an interesting connection to this star and Hussein's Mercury at 24° Taurus. At the time he was sentenced to hang, Jupiter opposed Algol giving no hope of escape. One's freedom can be found with Jupiter. Saddam was born with his Jupiter (26° Capricorn) opposed his own Pluto (26°Cancer). Both planets aspect Algol. Algol is very sensitive when using one's passion to power their agenda. If misused the native could loose their head. Algol has moved only a degree in the past 70 years and we all have Algol at that point in our charts. It is the planets that it aspects and the house it occupies that gives it its meaning. For Saddam we do know with the date given for him that his 24° Taurus Mercury is conjunct Algol. His history of atrocities can relate to his Mercury (the messenger) giving the brutal orders to execute the finest scientist and cultural minds in his country, along with so many others. Now transiting Saturn at 24° Leo is square Mr. Hussein's Mercury. Not a good thing.
The Full Moon is in Cancer at nearly 13°. 13° Cancer is also important in the chart of the US as the Sun is found alongside the Sun of G.W. Bush, who might have very mixed feelings about the death of his most prized captive. With Iraq in such a disastrous state of civil war the death of Saddam is likely to escalate the worst. For President Bush, I suspect he will escalate his efforts and send more of our precious troops into danger. A sober tone is set at the Capitol Building in the Full Moon chart. Algol is at the very bottom of the chart on the cusp of the fourth house. Mr. Bush's Leo Ascendant is found at the 7th house along with the Part of Fortune. The sign of death, Scorpio, is at the mid-heaven.
For the rest of us this could be a very active week. Much can be accomplished if you can protect your immune system. Sagittarius Mars is square the Pisces/Virgo nodes of the Moon and the heat is on with a swift and aggressive thrust forward. This can expedite the stuck and slow moving energy that has held so many things back.

Take a break from the chaos and visit
    Peace Village.

    New Weekly Feature
For ease of reading the details of each day, when available or appropriate, follow the daily summary.

A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

General Notes On Taurus MoonsTaurus (contra-parallel Mercury)
    - Good results for efforts.
When the Sun and Mars come together there is some cause for more rest and extra vitamin C - but work gets a boost. Keep your head on to avoid unnecessary conflict. Venus and Saturn are in a nasty angle giving someone a need to cry about love or money lost. An extended hand and shoulder are called for today. The heavy mood continues into the evening and should lift after 8:52 p.m. (Moon square (90°) Saturn). There may be a desire to eat everything in sight. Tomorrow's Sun-Saturn aspect can keep the gloomy note humming but Saturn is not with humor. Goal-setting is a good way to use this energy. The old fashioned "New Year's Resolution" is exactly what this Saturn calls for. Much can be accomplished by the up-and-coming Full Moon on Wednesday.

    General Notes On Gemini MoonsGemini
    - Challenging. Moon becomes void of course at 5:47 a.m. until 6:16 a.m. when it enters Gemini. At that point we have Challenging days thru Tuesday.
Excesses in the past add to accumulated debt. Creative projects take a hit but recover at a later date. The talk is growing with the Gemini Moon. Those in power are presenting a case for their next step. The expense is greater than the gain. Action taken is met with blind spots along the way. It's the illusion that fuels the vision. For matters that don't include overall approval this may work for you. Take the inspiration into the next level on a better day.

    General Notes On Gemini MoonsGemini
    - Challenging.
Two New Year Charts are included and cast for the farthest east point in New Zealand to welcome in the 2007, and which may be representative of the globe. Another chart is cast for the US Capitol Building in the US eastern standard (EST) time zone. This represents the New Year for the US. It will be interesting to note the astrological and event correlations as each chart tells a different story.
The chart cast for New Zealand shows the Moon at 29° Taurus, a point where there are seven stars called the Seven Weeping Sisters.
The daily aspects show a testy switch within friendships and loyalties. It appears that those who have a little money have stronger powers of attraction with Venus showing her gains from her association with the all-powerful Pluto. More can be accomplished by slowing down to check your motives and your ability to hold onto your position. Are you buying a loyalty? Will your purchase survive a dry spell?

    - Challenging.
This day brings a laborious package and a twist in the areas of work and distribution of chores. The manager or boss may leave or be called on the carpet for mismanagement. This presents and opening that will be filled quickly. This is a high action day with the Last Quarter Moon exact at 9:32 a.m. Many matters have a relationship to the Lunar Eclipse last March. It's time for your reward or your bill. New stories replace the old with the Sun square the Moon's nodes at 6:48 p.m.

    General Notes On Cancer MoonsCancer
    - Challenging. A tough call that requires your intuition.
Refranation Venus means that a woman or the budget changes which paints an entirely new picture. All the cards are on the table and you can move forward fully informed but there is a money issue that changes everything. It could be for the better so you can move forward with your plans. There is a chance that something or someone with a business agenda bows out. The light shows the problem areas that need to be cleaned up. This is an intense Full Moon but necessary to clear away the garbage.

    General Notes On Leo MoonsLeo
    - Good but proceed slowly; Very Good after 9:03 pm.
This is a day that has potential but there is a hitch. Not all the players have the same agenda. If you put your money down on the table make sure it is after the Moon quincunx Sun at 9:03 p.m. The drive is to enter into long-term endeavors. This can be a good choice - either tonight or tomorrow. Make this your thorough homework day. Creative projects involving other people are subject to compromise. If you have any reservations about your role then you must be clear. Work out the details with all the cards on the table. All ends well after.

The building blocks for the future are available today. Someone very savvy with the experience you are looking for can step into an important role. Realize you are the author of your life. To manifest you must recognize and believe you already own it. Pull it out of your pocket. Share a portion of your wealth with one who is deserves your support even if only a token amount as a promise of more to come. This can be a very powerful day if you put yourself in high gear. Saturn delivers to those that have done their homework.

    MOON ENTERS CANCER - Jan 2 2007
The Cancer Moon is a nesting time and the desire to retreat and protect one's vulnerable underbelly is greater. The baby side of people surfaces and emotions are highly visible if you are at all able to get close enough as very often people are "crabby". This is a time to nurture and find a way to nurture yourself. People stick to their clans and cliques being less likely to socialize with outsiders and seem to be comfortable with close family members. Matters of saving and providing for necessities are concerns. Food preparation and shared meals are more important. Matters of cash as related to security, real estate and patriotism are Cancer matters. Issues involving dependency or defensiveness are likely to arise with the Moon here. What people need to survive also takes precedence. Headlines are more dramatic than usual. This is a great Moon for planting vegetables and the most fertile sign of the zodiac. The best time to plant fruits and vegetables and general planting. If you are a Cancer, matters tend to go your way. Enjoy family dinners and nestle in with a loved one.

For business use: Ingenious ideas fix technical problems.

    MOON ENTERS LEO - Jan 4 2007
A Leo Moon can bring sunny and cheerful moods, but this can be a demanding couple of days for your business and personal life. This is a time for "the show" or a presentation. Issues in various areas of life can be showy in nature and then the spot light is waiting for the "show off". At times if negative aspects occur there can be an abundance of arrogance with a stubborn streak. On a positive note it can be a time when your confidence is up and you are able to stay on track with a goal in mind. Pride may become an asset or liability. These couple of days work best if your express your love and appreciation for those around you and remembering to offer praise. Your generosity can be contagious as enthusiasm inspires an air of good will. It is a time when your actions are closely scrutinized as if on stage. Making every effort to be well informed and prepared in all around activities even if today is not show time, as the Leo energy may not be forgiving of faux pas. This is a good time for having interaction with children or investing time in your creative projects or anything you might consider your "baby". The children in your life are a source of joy but may need your undivided attention. Maintain a balance for love given and received. If you love it, then show it. Plant nothing since it is the most barren. Good time to tidy the garden for show. If you are a Leo, matters tend to go your way.

Brief description: This conjunction between Mercury and the Sun occurs when Mercury is direct in its motion. But Mercury can still play the trickster creating misinformation and snags in your travel plans. Otherwise expect mental agility. Sharp-mindedness for snap decisions. Awareness is heightened. Responses are quickened. Lots of errands. Short distant travel. Knowing ones mind. Important decisions. Assessing priorities. Analytical thinking may accelerate to worry. This aspect is positive for writing, collecting information. Sorting through gossip and news stories. Ease with multi tasking. Outlining contracts for agreements. Important introductions and appointments.
For personal use: Look and be at your best. Expect recognition. Go with the flow.
For business use: Read the fine print. Go after what you want with enthusiasm. Submit your work for editing. Advertise and network.

    MOON ENTERING VIRGO - Jan 7 2007
The Virgo Moon is a very busy time. It is a focused on details, a specific task, or on people at work. It is a great couple of days to clean up and organize your home and work setting. You may be inclined to put your energy into healthy food and good cooking. Virgo Moons actually hold a considerable amount of sexual intrigue especially when working with others. People become more detail-oriented and conscious of schedules. There may be a need to prioritize and set a daily routine in motion. This could be a good time to schedule health maintenance appointments. Due to Virgo's highly analytical energy is a great time for psychotherapy. Any type of bodywork and all forms of self help are positive uses for a Virgo Moon. This is the sign of the perfectionist, which comes in handy for tasks but disturbs the balance of interpersonal relationships. This is a very good time for planting or harvesting herbs, corn and grains. If you are a Virgo, matters tend to go your way.
