Does Having Your Chart Interpreted Seem Like a Ride Through a Haunted House?

Being afraid of what your astrological chart is all about brings to mind a familiar question to me presented by one of my radio listeners. Throughout my career for nearly 30 years now, I have met people who are hesitant about any type of reading because of their unfortunate fears about receiving bad news. My listener asked: “Do you tell the client catastrophic things that may be coming their way? (like accidents, death, etc.)” I felt this question deserves my full attention as would any question a client may ask about their chart.

First, I have received terrific feedback from clients over the years. They have said my work is positive, encouraging, uplifting and mostly empowering. They all agree that the material itself is also very useful. I approach all of my clients with the utmost respect and sensitivity. I do not predict disastrous, scary events. I know exactly what this fear is like; I too am very hesitant to consult with anyone who is open to interpretation of extremely personal information. Even medical lab reports can be wrong. I can make available a list of responsible professional astrologers that I respect that can offer you a good second opinion.

Being a professional astrological educator as well as a consultant, I insist that my students understand the vast responsibility held when consulting with a client. Because the astrologer’s tools are celestial, the client is often awed by what seems to be a mysterious trace of information, often assuming the material comes from a divine source.

Well-studied astrology is an art and a science that includes a tremendous amount of math, mythology and historical research. Each astrologer comes with their own methods and understanding of this ancient study. A seasoned astrologer can study for twenty to thirty years before they feel comfortable presenting any information to a client - if ever. All astrologers are subject to their own impression of the information and that itself can vary, depending on their own personal experience. However, if consulting various types of readers you find there is a common theme, then you are probably consulting reputable sources. Seek professionals who insist their clients are their first and primary concern.

I do my homework, which consists of at least six to eight hours of preparation, which enables me to have a firm understanding of the trends the client has already experienced and the types of activity to expect in the future. I do not make specific predictions but instead find times when various influences may make an impression on you. These impressions may offer you material or activities in your life that may cause you to see things in a different way - or become open to change and growth.

Because I hold a positive response and outlook on my own life, my natural instinct is to look for the positive. I do not ever interpret great distress or catastrophe. Humans are resilient and come equipped with their own good sense and talent for avoiding precarious, unwanted, stressful or dangerous situations, and I truly respect that. How many times have you been influenced by an intense film, a gripping or empowering book, a singular pointed comment - be it raw or rejoicing - from an unexpected source that may have changed the way you view yourself, your position and your path in life?

· I empower by allowing you to assume control over your own future. I do not make predictions but list dates and times of change that is actually related to your life and experiences and let you know how to utilize your good times for things that concern you.

· I empower the client by extracting the positive aspects of the transits, progressions and natal chart and research up-and-coming periods in time when your greatest personal assets are enhanced and activated.

· I empower by finding the source of blocks and challenges, noting the dates when there appears to be an opening for change, and release from these blocks as well as offer suggestions as to how you may make the best of your most stressful aspects.

My astrological sessions provide a personal, confidential, and - with your input - a cooperative research study of your life and up-and-coming trends. It is a fun and rewarding activity that allows a unique personal view of yourself from the perspective of your collective astrological components, and how that information relates to the world around you.

A note about difficult aspects from the transiting planets to the natal chart.

There are many difficult astrological aspects throughout one's life that prove to have little effect on our personal safety or otherwise. People are quite mental and emotional critters that are fixed to a routine or lifestyle that shows its fluctuations mostly on the external mental level and internal emotional body while maintaining their normal daily affairs. Certain astrological events may take you out of your routine and off your track and lead you to an area you have not considered or visited in some time. People move, change jobs, meet loves, engage, marry or divorce. Family members change, new babies arrive and people tend to their health interest. For many of those seeking advice, love and money are at the top of the list. Lots of business and real estate activity are also focus points in a chart. On the other hand, even though there may be common themes, all sessions are unique. The nature of an astrological chart is virtually a one of a kind, supportive work or opus for the benefit of your own life, your own spiritual and material development.
