Mythological Chiron was wounded while horsing around at a wedding (Chiron was half horse/half man). He was the most gifted healer who suffered constant pain from his wound. Not able to heal himself, he begged the gods to end his immortal life to stop his pain. His request was granted, and he was honored with a permanent position in the sky as the constellation of Sagittarius. In some ways, this myth may have already played out over the past couple of days when Saturn opposed Chiron on July 21st and continues to influence today with the opposition from the Sun, through July 28th when Mars will square Chiron and Saturn. However the opposition between Saturn and Chiron is not a new one. They have been hovering in this formation since September, 2003 while in Saturn traveled through Cancer and Chiron in Capricorn. They remain hooked up in this aspect through June 2006. Notable contributors to society are likely to pass with these aspect involving Chiron and Saturn. However, I feel these aspects relate to the increase of suicide bombings. Perhaps by June 2006, we will find a way to address the issues at the root of such desperate acts. Will we learn to listen? The Sun - Saturn conjunction on Saturday, July 23, 2005, renews a yearly cycle with a powerful conjunction at zero degrees of Leo and opposing to the Aquarius Chiron brings light to hidden matters about the wounded healer. The opposition allows you to engage with another who is in need of your wisdom regarding older problems when issues around detachment and separation occurred at the root. Chiron also rules teaching and he is highly sexual. The physical concerns are with bones, knees, skin, teeth. Those requiring the most attention are the elderly and authority figures whose actions trigger old wounds. If you must make a decision about arrangements for your sick or elderly parents then Monday and Tuesday are good days to take action. Wednesday Last Quarter Moon is hot because it is a family member of the Lunar eclipse from last October and reactivates the Sun, Mars, Saturn and Chiron "T"- square. Thursday, Mars enters Taurus where it will retrograde in October. Its first mission is to ignite the dangerous "T" square. Readers of my Weekly Report for the Week of July 23-29 were therefore cautioned to proceed with caution for those 7 days. |
