Boston's Mission Church received a kind-hearted super hero, Ted Kennedy, honored with the rain of a storm named Danny, pouring over his casket on August 29, 2009. Is it too sappy to connect a song so Irish as “Danny Boy” with this iconic Irish leader. The Moon arrived with the Senator at zero Capricorn when his body reached the Mission Church. Zero degree of Capricorn represents the world’s attention drawn to one point, and in this case, one man. This point is called the cardinal point or global axis when a planet occupies zero degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn. If three of these points are occupied it is called a cardinal “T” square. With four cardinal points occupied it is called a grand cardinal cross. The loved and respected Senator served with ten presidents. It’s been said that Ted Kennedy was even more powerful than the Presidents for whom he served. His passing came with an astrological cardinal cross; Mars at zero Cancer: Mercury at zero Libra and Pluto at zero Capricorn and the Moon at 17° Scorpio, also a world axis point by its 45° link (one eighth of a circle. This Pisces man was called the Lion of the Senate. His sole Leo planet was Jupiter at 15° 44’ Leo. Once again a degree tied to the global axis by a 45° angle and the only planet in his chart directly aspected by the cardinal “T” square. Often at the time of someone’s passing their Jupiter is emphasized for their final journey. If you were to have only one planet in the sign of the lion then, Jupiter is a great one. Teddy was known for his big hearted generosity that reached so many. He passed over a thousand bills and wrote 300 in his own hand. I am sure each of us might note how we have benefited by a bill championed by Ted Kennedy. He had Capricorn rising in his chart, the sign of government and the patriarch. His Scorpio Midheaven depicts the pain be bore for such great public losses but, whose own transformation (a Scorpio theme) is great part of his legacy. He will be missed in so many ways. |
